How to play OnlyClick
OnlyClick is a free word game you play in your browser, on a phone or a computer. A question asks you to name something, you type an answer, and your rocket flies. Everyone says cheddar. The player who names a cheese nobody else thinks of is the one who leaves Earth behind.

- 6 questions, 60 seconds each. Type one answer. Wrong ones cost only time, so keep trying. Close spellings count, with a little less boost.
- The rarer the answer, the farther you fly. A common answer barely lifts the rocket. An answer almost nobody would think of sends it past the Moon.
- Afterburner. Time left? Risk a rarer answer for extra thrust. Fail, and you lose half of that question.
- The last question counts double. Each launch is five easier questions and a tougher final burn.
- One launch a day, with the same questions for everyone. Then challenge your friends to a duel.
Why rarer scores more
Each answer in the book has a rarity, from the first thing most people think of to the name hardly anyone knows. There are six tiers:
| EVERYONE | The first thing most people think of |
| THE CROWD | Common second thoughts |
| SOME | Needs a moment, or some knowledge |
| A FEW | You have to know this area |
| ALMOST NOBODY | Real knowledge and a proud moment |
| ONLY YOU | Valid, real, and almost no one would think of it |
So the game is not about knowing one right answer. It is about knowing an answer other people do not. Speed helps too: the sooner you answer, the more you get from it.
How far can you fly?
Every flight starts on an alp in Switzerland. Good answers lift you past the clouds and the airliners, into space, then on to the Space Station, the Moon, Mars, the asteroid belt, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. Very good flights pass Voyager 1, the Orion Nebula and a black hole, with the Andromeda galaxy as the far end of the route.
Ways to play
The daily launch. One launch a day, the same six questions for everyone.
Missions. Themed routes such as Swiss Made and Cosmos, with stages that get harder as you go.
Free flights. Extra flights with questions from a much bigger library. Browse the questions.
Infinite mode. Questions with no end, climbing from easy to brutal: precise dates, maths and tricks. You have three lives, so how far can you get?
Fleet rooms. Up to 8 pilots on one launch field, with the same questions. Say the same thing as someone else and you collide. Guests join with a link and need no account.
Your log, your sky and your hangar. Missed a day? The last few launches stay open. Every flight adds to your sky. You can collect 162 rockets and earn 20 launch sites along the way.
Questions and answers
Is OnlyClick free?
Yes, it is free to play in your browser. The daily launch is always free, and so are the first stages of every mission and your free flights each day.
Do I need to sign up?
No. You can play straight away. Signing in with Google is optional, and keeps your progress on other devices.
What happens if I type a wrong answer?
It only costs time, so keep trying until the 60 seconds run out. Close spellings count, with a little less boost.
How is rarity decided?
Rarity is our own estimate of how few people would think of an answer. It is not a live count of players.
What language is the game in?
English, German, Italian, Spanish or French. It starts in your browser's language, and you can change it at any time. 83% or more of the questions are translated into each language. The ones that depend on English spelling or rhymes stay in English, and are labelled.
